VILLA MARIJA is situated on the Adriatic coast in a Mediterranean enviroment on the property of the Family Bilota. On the property which has an area of 2500m2, there is also one 130 years old stone house. The tradition of grawing organic production of crops has been preserved till today. In held of the Family Bilota is their own vineyard and olive trees and large fruitfull surface of vegetable garden. Traditional meals
As the family produces for their own needs and the household various types of products! Within the property there is also a tavern with a fireplace, so that the gusts can enjoy in trying local specialities such as Dalmatian PEKA or Dalmatian brodetto, mussels stew, homemade brandy and vine,dalmatian sweets called FRITULE and with this homemade vine-sherry and brandy made from the walnuts..
Fishing
If you like to taste a little bit more from the Mediterranean atmosphere, you can be a part of the fishing. You will make a sea voyage on one old boat called gajeta where you can throw the fishernet and other similar and necessery equipment. All catch will be prepared on the fireplace.
Garden work
All guests are invited to participate, if they like and wish, in the seasonal garden works. In spring you can plant vegetables with the family, remove potatoes, prun the olive trees and the vineyard. In the summer there is lavander and fig harvest, prepairing of vine-sherry and walnuts brandy. In autumn fall you can participate in grape and olive harvest or in vine preparing, (youtube) by brandy distiling and storing food for winter.
